Team GB will face Germany in their opening game of the 2019 IIHF World Championships in Slovakia – their first in world ice hockey’s top tier for 25 years.
Pete Russell’s side were previously drawn in Group A for the tournament, along with Germany, Canada, Denmark, Team USA, Finland, Slovakia and France.
The tournament begins on Friday May 10th 2019, although Team GB do not play Germany until Game Day Two on Saturday 11th May.
The national side will then face Canada 24-hours later, Denmark on Tuesday 14th May and then the USA on 15th May.
After another rest day, Finland await on Friday 17th May before a clash with hosts Slovakia on Saturday 18th May.
GB then finish their group games against France on Monday 20th May.
The IIHF have confirmed that ticket pricing and structure will be announced in mid-September, with ticket sales beginning shortly after. Full details of the tournament can be found on the IIHF website HERE.
