Dundee Stars coach Omar Pacha revealed latest arrival François Bouchard was a player he’s had his eye on for a while.
The two-time Calder Cup champion was unveiled as Pacha’s latest acquisition, with the season just a matter of weeks away.
And Pacha outlined what the 30-year-old will bring to his team when the action gets back underway.
“François is a player that I have been looking at for the past few years,” he said. “He is a highly offensive player with some very successful seasons in the AHL.
“I truly believe he will be a very dynamic player in the league and is going to bring great character to our roster with hard work both on and off the ice.
“We’re so excited to have him in Dundee.”
Bouchard returns to action after a year out, but prior to that, played in France with Bordeaux, where he made 55 appearances, scored 15 times and added 29 assists.
His career has taken him to Sweden, Italy and Croatia as well, but the highlights of his career was winning the Calder Cup with AHL side Hershey Bears in 2009 and 2010.
Stars have also revealed he’ll wear the number 22 jersey this season.
