The Glasgow Clan might not have had the perfect Week 11, winning just one of their two games and taking an overtime loss in another, but for one of their players it wasn’t a bad week.
Clan forward Matt Beca notched 4+3 across the week’s three games, and was voted Man of the Match for his team in all of them! “Obviously the schedule is tough for everyone this season, but taking into account we played five games in eight days, to finish the week off with seven points from a possible 10 is a major positive,” said the 32-year-old. “I’ve been struggling to get going recently so obviously it’s good to get the personal plaudits, however the number one target is for the team to pick up wins and points – any personal achievements in addition to that is a bonus.”
“We have a good group of guys here, Glasgow is a superb city, it’s a great organisation and I love playing in front of the Purple Army,” continued the native of Mississauga, Canada. “We have struggled for consistency, however if we continue working hard and playing the hockey we have, there is no doubt we can close the gap on the top four over the coming weeks.”
