Glasgow Clan, modelling their special St. Andrew’s Day jerseys, had extra reason for cheer as they beat Coventry by a pair of goals.
A Scott Pitt goal put the hosts ahead with just over four minutes gone, but the Blaze pegged them back thanks to Nicolai Bryhnisveen just over four left on the period.
The visitors then took the lead 3:37 into the middle session through Ben Lake, but barely three minutes later the Clan were level as Vaclav Stupka netted. Glasgow went back ahead thanks to Josh Gratton’s powerplay marker at 31:09, with the forward popping up with another powerplay goal with 8:13 gone in the final period to secure a 4-2 win for the Clan.
