Coventry Blaze 4-3 Cardiff Devils
A big win for Coventry Blaze, who came from behind on two separate occasions to eventually beat Cardiff Devils late on.
The Devils took the lead through Matt Pope after only 11 seconds, but the Blaze were level inside five minutes thanks to Dillon Lawrence. Gleason Fournier had the visitors back ahead with 14:08 gone, a lead which the Welsh side held into the third period.
Some 30 minutes after the last goal, Tim Crowder levelled for the Blaze, who then took the lead at 45:40 with Ben Lake’s powerplay goal. Fournier was on target again to tie things up for the Devils at 51:51, but with 2:16 to go Ross Venus scored his 50th Blaze goal to give his side a massive two points that keeps them in touch with the playoff places.
