Fife Flyers 3-0 Dundee Stars
Following last night’s nine-goal thriller in Dundee, the Flyers and Stars played out a much lower-scoring, yet no less tense, game tonight in Fife.
It took well over a period for the deadlock to be broken in this game, 27:30 in fact played in the game when Danick Gauthier opened the scoring. The Stars had a powerplay chance to level things up before the end of the middle period, but couldn’t find a goal.
Fife made the game safe with 5:02 to go in the final period thanks to Paul Crowder, with Craig Moore then adding gloss to the final scoreline with an empty-net goal with 1:48 left in the game. It was a win that ended a two-game negative series for the Flyers.
