Week 22: Challenge Cup and TV on the menu

January 28, 2019 7:50 am

This hockey action gets started early in Week 22!

On Tuesday night the next Challenge Cup Semi-Final first leg takes place, with Glasgow hosting Belfast as both teams look to gain an early advantage in the tie.

Wednesday evening sees the next live FreeSports game, with Aaron Murphy and Paul Adey visiting Guildford for the first time. The Flames welcome Sheffield to the rink in a repeat of the cup Quarter-Final. That game ended in a 5-4 win for the hosts, and if Wednesday night’s encounter is anywhere near as exciting we’ll be in for an excellent game. Join Aaron & Paul live from 7pm for all the pre-game build-up.

Friday’s lone game is the Scottish derby between the Clan and Flyers in Glasgow. Saturday evening brings us a full set of fixture as Cardiff look to get back to winning ways in Manchester; while Nottingham, now unbeaten in two, host Milton Keynes. Sheffield and Guildford meet again, but this time in Sheffield and webstreamed, while Fife host the repeat fixture against Glasgow. Belfast begin their weekend of two home games against Coventry, and then on Sunday have Notingham at the SSE. The same evening Dundee play their only game of the week at home to Guildford, Coventry head home to face Manchester, and Glasgow head south to Milton Keynes for the second time in 10 days. The night’s final game is in Cardiff, the Devils hosting a Steelers side playing their third game of the week.
