Week 23 of 30 in this season’s Elite Ice Hockey League is upon us. What’s coming up?
Belfast and Guildford behind their back-to-back series at the SSE Arena on Friday evening, before doing it all again 24 hours later. On Saturday Cardiff host a Coventry side that have won at the Viola Arena this season, while playoff challengers Glasgow and Manchester clash. Both MK and Dundee need a win for different reasons when they meet in Milton Keynes; and while a Steelers vs. Panthers fixture needs no introduction, what’s on the line for the hosts adds to the importance of the game.
On Sunday Belfast head over to Nottingham to face the Panthers for the second Sunday afternoon in succession, while there’s a Scottish derby when Dundee host Glasgow. Coventry return to home ice against Sheffield in a crucial battle for playoff places, while Guildford’s weekend gets no easier as they welcome Cardiff to the Spectrum. Finally, Fife and Manchester’s clash in Kirkcaldy is also vital in the playoff race.
