Guildford Flames 3-2 Dundee Stars
A late show from Guildford with two goals in just over as many minutes was enough for Guildford to steal a home win, as Dundee were unable to build on their road victory in Glasgow 24 hours earlier.
Going into this game on the back of a 5-1 victory over the Clan, Dundee had some good chances early on and took the lead with just over ten minutes played – a turnover in the Flames’ zone leading to a Craig Garrigan slapshot, to which Fabrizio Ricci put home the rebound at 10:17.
The Flames stayed behind for well over 20 minutes, but were eventually level thanks to Kruise Reddick at 34:55 with a wrist shot from the lot; however the Stars would still lead after two periods at the Spectrum. The visitors went back ahead through Johan Andersson to give them an advantage going in to the final 20 minutes.
Eventually the game was to be turned on its head over the space of 2 minutes and 39 seconds in the final period. Brett Ferguson tied the game at 50:07, and then with Charles Corcoran sitting in the Stars’ penalty box, Jamie Crooks found the powerplay goal to give the Flames their first lead of the night at 52:46.
