We’re heading in to Week 29 of 30 in the Elite Ice Hockey League Regular Season! With both the league title and final playoff places still to be decided, it could be a very big week indeed.
Four days of hockey action start on Wednesday – live on FreeSports, Glasgow host Cardiff in a game that Belfast fans will also be following closely, too. Join Aaron Murphy and Paul Adey from 1900 for all the build-up to the this important game at the top of the league. Meanwhile in the race for the playoffs, Dundee host Coventry in a huge match for both teams. Neither can afford to lose, and the loser may almost say goodbye to a playoff place if they end without any points at all.
Friday night hockey as Manchester at home, looking to respond to the outcome of the Wednesday Stars/Blaze clash as they battle for the playoffs, in a tough test against the title-chasing Giants. In Milton Keynes, the Lightning welcome Guildford as the Flames look to finish as high as they can for playoff seeding.
Then the weekend comes! Saturday brings us a rare four-game haul: Cardiff hosting Manchester in a game important at both ends of the table, while the teams battling for third meet when Glasgow host Nottingham. Sheffield will look to cement their playoff place when they host basement side MK, while Fife and Guildford meet in Kirkcaldy in a game important for playoff seeding.
Then on Sunday the early afternoon affair sees Sheffield try to keep their good record at upsetting the top two going as they head to Belfast. Dundee host Cardiff in a game they will surely need to pick up at least some points in, while Coventry continue their playoff push in Guildford. Nottingham complete their Scottish double-header in Fife in the late game.
