Everything comes down to this – 31 previous weeks, and just one game left to decide the final trophy of the season. But before that, we’ll also find out who finishes the PredictorBet Playoffs in 3rd Place.
3rd vs. 4th Playoff 1200 Nottingham Panthers vs. Guildford Flames
It’s the game that no-one wants to play in, but in the early start we’ll find out which team will end the season third. For Guildford, this would be a historic high-finish in the Elite League playoffs, after exiting the post-season last year in the Quarter-Finals. On the other hand, the Panthers will look to end the season on a positive note after yesterday also securing their place in the Continental Cup.
Guildford have a good record in the Motorpoint Arena this year, winning there in the Challenge Cup and two league games.
Please note there will be no live stream of this game – we need to give the time to FreeSports to rig up for the live final.
PredictorBet Playoff Final 1600 Belfast Giants vs. Cardiff Devils (FreeSports Live)
Then it’s the big one. League Champions vs. defending Playoff Champions, the teams that finished the seasons first and second, go head to head to decide who’ll take home this season’s final trophy.
Belfast have the slight edge over Cardiff in games this season, with the Giants winning four of the six meetings against the Devils. But Cardiff know how to do playoff finals – they won it last year, and lost in the final the year before. Belfast haven’t competed in a playoff final since 2014.
The game is live on FreeSports, with pre-game coverage starting at 1500, so be sure to join Aaron Murphy and Paul Adey for all the build up!
