Belfast Giants and Cardiff Devils now know who they’ll play in next season’s Champions Hockey League. At today’ draw in Bratislava, the teams were drawn as follows:
Group C: Luleå (SWE), Bílí Tygři Liberec (CZE), Augsburg Panthers (GER), Belfast Giants
Group H: Frölunda Indians (SWE), Graz 99ers (AUT), Mountfield HK (CZE), Cardiff Devils
Both sides will travel to the Czech Republic, with Liberec approximately an hour north of Prague, while Hradec Kralové is around 90 minutes to the east; and also to Sweden where the Giants face a trip to way up north, and Cardiff facing the defending Champions.
The Giants will also visit Bavaria to face Augsburg, while Cardiff go to Styria in the south of Austria for Graz. The schedule will be released by the CHL in the coming weeks.
