Guildford Flames have secured the services of forward TJ Foster for another season. The Canadian arrived at the Spectrum in late October of last season after starting the campaign in Vassa of the Finnish Liiga, but went on to hit 55 points in 60 games – including the Flames’ run to the Challenge Cup final, Conference Title, and Playoff Semi-Finals.
“I’m really excited to be coming back for another year,” said Foster. “I really enjoyed my experience last season. Hopefully we can continue the success that we had and push for the trophies this season. I know Paul has done a good job recruiting so I’m excited to see what the team will look like, and I am looking forward to seeing the guys and the fans in a couple months.”
“Getting TJ back was a pretty high priority for us this off season,” said Head Coach Paul Dixon. “We saw what he was able to achieve last season which was pretty significant considering he was not here for nearly the first 2 months of the schedule.”
“TJ has high end skill and can make plays. Often players in his situation find that returning to a familiar setting gives them even greater opportunities for success, and we are interested to see what that will look like when we get underway at the end of the summer.”
