Matt Beca will be back with Glasgow Clan for a second consecutive season, following 78 points in 72 games of his debut season for the club.

Beca has finished among the Elite League’s top ten points scorers during each of the last three seasons in the UK’s top flight –  – with the Braehead Clan on arrival in the league, and then the following season in Manchester. For both teams, he scored 75 points in the league.

The 33-year-old will be working as Player/Assistant-Coach in the new season. “It was integral to get Matt back,” confirmed Head Coach Zack Fitzgerald. “He is a huge part of this core group that we now have here at the Clan. “He was consistent all season for us last year and made some big plays in crucial moments. I have huge respect for his experience and knowledge of the game. Bringing him in as assistant coach is crucial to the success of our team and first season behind the bench.”
