Fife Flyers have completed their compliment of forwards for the new season by adding Canadian Kyle Just.
With four seasons in the NCAA with Mercyhurst College, just crossed the Atlantic to play for Tilburg in his first full professional season – scoring 52 points for the Trappers in 32 games. A season later he moved to Hungary with Fehérvári Titánok, again hitting more than a point per game (42 in 38), before ending the season in the DEL2 with Lausitzer Füchse. Just started the next season with Lausitzer Füchse, but after 12 points in 17 games switched down a league to join Sonthofen. He began last season in the Alps League, before then heading back to the DEL2 on a try-out with Deggendorf, playing in four games. Just ended the season with Roki in Finland’s second third tier.
“I am happy I get to be a part of the team and organisation and hopefully we can have success this season,” said the 28-year-old. “Also, my aunt and uncle actually live in Edinburgh so I am happy that I have family close by.”
Head coach Todd Dutiaume added “Kyle completes our forward line-up. He’s an experienced campaigner in the European game and proven he can put up numbers. We believe his first season in the Elite League will be a successful one.”
