Corcoran fills Blaze centre void

Forward Charles Corcoran has joined Coventry Blaze for the new season.

The former Dundee Star originally signed in Lyon, but the French side have since had financial troubles and are set to be removed from the Ligue Magnus. Last season the American scored 52 points in 60 regular season games for the Stars.

Head Coach Danny Stewart said: “We have been very patient in finding our last centre. It was important we added some speed and playmaking ability to our line-up. When Charles became available, we jumped right on it. He skates very well and plays hard on both sides of the puck. In the 2nd half of last season he elevated his game and was one of the more productive forwards in the league. He is another young player with plenty of upside and we are looking for him to have a big season with us.”
