EIHL very thankful for IHUK and IIHF support

Elite League grateful for assistance from governing bodies

Planning for the 2021 Elite Series is continuing at pace behind the scenes following last week’s announcement that the tournament had the green light, and Monday’s draft which has since gathered over 31,000 views.

As with any large-scale event, the support of other organisations within ice hockey has been invaluable.

"We would like to very publicly thank Ice Hockey UK for all of their assistance so far,“ said EIHL Chairman Tony Smith. "We rely on on our governing body for help in a number of areas, and we could not have got this far without them."

Smith continued: "Additionally, we’d also like to put on record our thanks to the International Ice Hockey Federation. They have been incredibly supportive of our series to restart professional ice hockey in the UK, and have assisted us greatly in getting this event off the ground.“
