Rest Day at the Elite Series

After two double game days, this Bank Holiday Monday is a rest day for the four teams and officials at the 2021 Elite Series.

Teams started practising a week ago to be ready for the opening weekend's games, so following five days of intense training and then a pair of games each, all four sides will stay off the ice entirely today.

"We've built in a few rest days during the course of this series to make sure we give the players enough recovery time," said the Elite League's Hockey Operations, Mick Hicks. "The last seven days, especially, were jam-packed and when we were putting the schedule together, the coaches welcome the opportunity for some downtime after a heavy week."

However, we're back tomorrow with unbeaten Manchester hosting a Nottingham side looking for their first win of the tournament!
