Dundee and Guildford will see a lot of each other this weekend in a back-to-back series that will involve each team completing a 972 mile round trip.

Dundee’s blistering start to the season has seen them pick up several cup wins, but only one out of four in the league – seeing them head into this weekend #6 overall. That victory came last Sunday against Manchester. Guildford currently sit last in the table, although having only played three games in the league that is perhaps not an entirely fair reflection on their season so far. Any points picked up tonight are guaranteed to move them off the foot, and after an impressive win against Fife last Sunday they’ll be looking be carry momentum forward.

It is a huge weekend for us, we know this weekend is going to be tough against Guildford. We know that both teams are going to have to travel a lot, but they have travel to us first, so we have to take it to them. It is obviously tough coming off the bus and going straight into a game, but I think after the first period the bus legs get out of the way. So, in the first period we need to get right on them.” – Colton Kroeker (Forward, Dundee Stars)

We have not had a chance to see Dundee yet this season, but they made some excellent signings in the off season and have had some really good early results.  We will be without Brett Ferguson for sure with his suspension, but we are hoping to get a few bodies back this weekend compared to where we were last week.  The long trip Saturday is always a challenge. We know that we have to find a way to ensure we are ready to play from the moment we step on the ice to make sure that we are not in the backseat early and then playing a difficult game of ‘catch up’ all night long.” – Paul Dixon (Head Coach, Guildford Flames)

1900 Nottingham Panthers vs. Glasgow Clan

It’s a first home game for Nottingham Panthers since the opening weekend of the season, as they entertain a Clan side that haven’t played on their own ice since the same time.

The Panthers have two wins form four league games so far after victories in Dundee and Guildford; but they are without a win in two as well having fallen in Fife and then Belfast last weekend.

Glasgow had a fantastic weekend last time out, winning in Cardiff and Sheffield to earn their first two league wins of the season. They don’t have a particularly good record in Nottingham however, win just one win in the last five attempts.

We know they’re in good form, but I don't think we really care who we play against. We just want to play the way we play, the way we can play. A fast game. We don’t really focus on other teams, we just focus on the way that we play.”  - Georgs Golovkovs (Forward, Nottingham Panthers)
