The Manchester Storm got their second regulation win of the Elite Series, and it was again over the Sheffield Steelers on a Sunday at the Motorpoint Arena.

Starting his first professional game, Steelers' netminder Curtis Warburton pulled off a stunning glove save to deny Ben Lake early on. The 19-year-old was however beaten at 9:22 when Max Fortier was allowed too much space in the slot, and made no mistake with the finish.

The Storm held that lead well into period two, only to be beaten by an excellent shot from Josef Mikyska with 31:54 on the clock.

Andreas Klavestad's rocket put the Storm 2-1 ahead with six and a half minutes to play, and when Ciaran Long also converted with the man advantage the Storm looked home and dry. However, with 57 seconds left, and Warburton pulled Kevin Schulze finished a nice move to set up a nervy last 57 seconds.

The Storm held out, however, with netminder Sean Bonar ending the game with 36 saves to backstop them to the win.
