Manchester Storm got their first win and off the mark in Challenge Cup Group C thanks to a three-goal home victory over Sheffield Steelers.
It was a tied game after 20 minutes as Adam Hughesman put home a loose puck from close range with 10:49 played, but Tanner Eberle levelled up for the Steelers with 61 seconds left on the clock.
Period two however saw the Storm move ahead with two goals in just under three minutes - Mathieru Gagnon at 27:48 and then Jared Aulin with a lovely backhand over Pavel Kantor to make it 3-1 at 30:38. Raymond Grewal got his first goal of the season 1:34 into the final period, and although Eberle struck again with 4:18 to play, the Storm weren't going to be denied another home win. Zach Sullivan's slapshot with two seconds remaining rounded off the win.
