Steelers raise over £11,000 for Trončinský's daughter

Online raffle ends with incredible total

A phenomenal effort from the Sheffield Steelers and fans across the Elite League has raised over £11,000 for the family of Marek Trončinský, who sadly passed away last month.

The defenseman was a huge fan favourite in Sheffield and their fans, together with those of other clubs, responded to a special raffle to raise money which will be sent to Marek's daughter, Adriana, who is just six years old.

In total, £11,020 was raised in the raffle (over 325,000 Czech crowns). One lucky fan received a frame shirt and medal set from the Challenge Cup, while other winners could choose a personalised Steelers t-shirt.

This is an incredible gesture from the Steelers, and we thank everyone who took part for helping the Trončinský family at what is an incredibly difficult time.
