Elite League with CHL good record vs. German opposition

The Cardiff Devils open their Champions Hockey League season on Thursday with the visit of the Adler Mannheim to Ice Arena Wales, and will hope to follow other Elite League teams in posting good results against opposition from the DEL.
To date, no German team has won a CHL Group Stage game in the UK in 60 minutes, with Augsburg's 2019 win over Belfast the only victory for a German team from three attempts.
The Nottingham Panthers got the EIHL's first win over DEL opposition back in 2014 with a 3-1 win against the now-defunct Hamburg Freezers. The Panthers' win was both theirs and the Elite League's first in the CHL.
A year later, the then Braehead Clan came from behind late to earn an excellent 6-4 home win over ERC Ingolstadt. It is, to date, the Clan's only win in the CHL.
Two years ago, the Belfast Giants narrowly lost out to the Augsburg Panthers 3-2 in overtime in a thrilling game. The Giants thought they'd won it late on, but the goal was ruled out for a high stick. That result, however, ensured the Giants picked up four points out of six in their opening CHL games.
