In their second Champions Hockey League this week, the Cardiff Devils will face Lausanne HC of Switzerland.
Swiss sides have struggled when facing Elite League opposition in the UK over several CHL campaigns - and the Devils will be hoping that that run continues on Saturday night.
Arguably the best ever weekend in the CHL for EIHL clubs saw two victories over Swiss teams back in 2017. The Nottingham Panthers started things off, coming form two down to beat SC Bern 4-2 in front of an electric atmosphere at the Motorpoint Arena.
24 hours later, the Devils beat big-spending HC Davos 4-3 in overtime to get their first-ever CHL win!
In 2018, the Devils were narrowly beaten in overtime by Bern, 3-2, in Wales, but the result means that no Swiss side has ever won a CHL Group Stage game in regulation playing in the UK.
The lone exception are the ZSC Lions, who beat the Panthers 3-0 in their Round of 16 clash back in 2017, winning through 6-1 on aggregate.
