After a year away, the Sheffield Steelers have re-signed forward Brandon Whistle on a two-way contract.

The forward will also ice for the Leeds Knights in the NIHL during season 2021/22.

"Brandon will practice with us when he’s available and we can use him for games when Leeds aren’t playing which currently looks like an option for 20+ potential games," explained Head Coach Aaron Fox. "We all realise that Brandon has really put the work in the last two years and shown a commitment to hockey and being a professional.

"I think he has a real opportunity to be a good player at the EIHL level and am excited to have him back and hopefully help him get to that level."

Whistle's debut season for the Steelers saw him play 54 games in 2018/19, scoring one goal and totalling three points. In 2019/20, he iced for the Telford Tigers and posted a 59-point season in just 37 matches.

The forward joins Curtis Warburton (Bees IHC) and Cole Shudra (Leeds Knights) on two-way deals with the Steelers and NIHL clubs.
