29-year-old defenceman Brock Beukeboom is the latest new recruit for the Glasgow Clan.

The Canadian's father Jeff is a four-time Stanley Cup winner with Edmonton Oilers and New York Rangers and he himself was a  2010 draft pick for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

After a year in the ECHL, Beukeboom headed to Hungary and went 17+26 for the Fehérvári Titánok. He then spent two seasons in Denmark, totalling 93 games and 30 points for Odense and Frederikshavn combined.

'Finding a job this year was more difficult than I thought," admitted Beukeboom. "Gareth Chalmers at the Clan had messaged me a couple of years ago to come, but I decided to stay in Denmark.

"As things went on this year, we decided to reach out to people I knew and I remembered about being contacted from the UK so talks began from there. It’s turned out great in the end and knowing guys who have played in the UK, they spoke really well about it.

"I’m grateful to have a job and look forward to playing there. My aim is to keep continuing to grow as a player and, as an older player, be able to share my experience with some of the young players on the team."
