Guildford's leading scorer from 2019/20 will be back in a Flames jersey for the new season.
Canadian forward Ian Watters netted 32 goals last time out in the Elite League, and totalled 50 points before the season was cut short. His record over three seasons for the Flames stands at an impressive 102 goals ad 85 assists in 188 games.
"Ian was slated to be back with us for the 20-21 season that never happened, and once we announced in January that we were definitely not proceeding he opted not to go anywhere else,' explained Head Coach Paul Dixon. 'He has kept himself in good condition and is really excited to have the chance to come back.
"We don’t have a great deal of continuity from the last roster we had to now so keeping a high-quality character who does so much on the ice and who is so well-liked by his teammates is a great outcome for us. We are thrilled to have Ian back for his 4th season with us."
