The Belfast Giants completed a perfect start to the new season with a four-goal road win against Fife in the Premier Sports Challenge Cup.
With no preseason fixtures before victory in Dundee 24 hours earlier, the Giants went a goal behind early as Greg Chase put the Flyers ahead just 96 seconds into the game. Belfast were level 5:38 into period two through Jordan Boucher, before a powerplay goal from Slater Doggett just shy of ten minutes later gave them the lead.
David Goodwin gave the visitors some breathing space with a third 54 seconds before the middle session was out.
Scott Conway extended the Giants' cushion to four with 11 minutes to go, before Boucher rounded off the scoring at 51:17 to put Adam Keefe's firmly in control at the top of Group A.
