Giants and Steelers host early Sunday action

Sunday's early starts take us to Belfast and Sheffield who host Scottish opposition in Dundee and Fife respectively from 1600.

Belfast Giants vs. Dundee Stars (Tickets | Webcast)
The Giants are back at home after three straight road games. Adam Keefe saw his side pick up just one win out of those league clashes, but it's Premier Sports Challenge Cup points on the line now at home to Dundee.

Belfast were shut out in Manchester last night and slipped to their second defeat in three games. However, the Giants are unbeaten at home so far this season, and have already registered a home and away win over the Stars.

Dundee meanwhile have yet to win on the road outside of Scotland with only a derby victory in Fife on their travels to date. Omar Pacha's team were shut out in Guildford and had a disastrous opening period in Manchester in their recent road trips, and were already blanked in Belfast earlier this season. They were beaten at home to Fife on Saturday night.

Results yesterday mean that the Giants will be confirmed as group winners if they can pick up at least a point. Dundee have to win in regulation, and well, to keep their chances of winning the group alive.

Sheffield Steelers vs. Fife Flyers (Tickets | Webcast)
The Sheffield Steelers host the Fife Flyers for the first time this season on Sunday afternoon.

Fife are the first Scottish visitors of the season to the Utilita Arena, but heading south of the border hasn't been kind to the Flyers this season with losses in Cardiff, Coventry and Manchester already on their record. They were 4-3 winners on Saturday night against local rivals Dundee in the Premier Sports Challenge Cup.

Sheffield return home following a derby game of their own on Saturday night which saw them defeated 3-2 by Nottingham in overtime. The Steelers have only lost one of their four home games to date, and sit on top of the Elite League table. Their only game against Scottish opposition this season was a narrow 2-1 road win in Dundee in a well-contested game.

Aaron Fox will make his goalie selection ahead of the game, but with Rok Stojanovič having played in that Dundee win and last night in Nottingham it's likely he'll continue to rotate.
