Matt Ginn stopped all 32 shots he faced and secured his second shutout in three games as the Manchester Storm recorded their third straight home win over the Belfast Giants.
The only goal of the opening 40 minutes went the Storm's way with the teams splitting 45 shots through the first two periods.
Adam Brady broke the deadlock when his seemingly harmless throw on net snuck through Tyler Beskorowany with 17:53 played in the first period.
Storm secured the two points with two goals in 29 seconds in the middle of the final period. Scott Simmonds broke down the left wing and put through a perfect pass to Cam Critchlow in the slot, and he finished backhanded past Beskorowany for 2-0 at 48:29.
With the Giants pushing forward, Simmons then intercepted the puck and knocked it into the neutral zone, won the footrace, and slotted home to put the Storm three ahead with 11:02 to play.
Ginn pulled off a series of good saves to ensure the Giants didn't find a way back into the game, and even with Beskorowany pulled the visitors couldn't find a way through and Storm took the points with a shutout win.
