Week 7: Enter the Clan!
Clan training in Dumfries
You have to have felt a little sorry for Glasgow Clan fans these past six weeks. While every other Elite League fan has been able to celebrate their team being back on the ice, and having fans in the building to watch, the wait has been longer for the Purple Army.
Clan's home opener was pushed back which means that their first game on the new season takes place in Belfast this Sunday. Head Coach Malcolm Cameron will also see his side take on Solway in an exhibition game this week ahead of their season finally getting underway.
This week's action starts on Wednesday with Fife the guests in Sheffield for the lone midweek fixture.
Saturday is a four-game night. In the Premier Sports Challenge Cup, Coventry head to Cardiff in desperate need of points to make sure they qualify for the Quarter-Finals. The night's other games are all league encounters with Guildford heading to Manchester for the first time this year and Dundee in Nottingham. The day's biggest match-up sees current lead leaders Sheffield hosting Belfast!
The Clan's return means that Sunday is the first five-game gameday on the schedule in 2021/22. They face off at 4pm alongside the Panthers hosting the Storm. Elsewhere on Sunday, Dundee make the trip down to Coventry, Cardiff head up to Scotland to face Fife, and Guildford host Sheffield for the second time this season.
