Panthers bring in Jokinen

The Nottingham Panthers have added Finnish forward Tommi Jokinen.

He comes in as injury cover for Kevin Domingue, who was played on the injured-reserve list on 31 October. Jokinen will not count as an official change for the length of Domingue's time on the IR list.

Jokinen began this season in Slovakia with HC Presov where he iced in nine games this season. Prior to playing in central Europe, the Finnish forward played in the Finnish Liiga for fifteen years, racking up over 800 appearances and was captain of KalPa Kuopio.

"He's a guy we've heard good things about, a very experienced player and I think someone who will be a good two-way player for us,' said Director of Hockey, Gui Doucet. "He was a captain for four straight years in Finland, so we know we're bringing in someone who will fit into our group."

The Panthers are hoping to have Jokinen in their lineup this weekend.
