The Sheffield Steelers continued their record as the Premier Sports Elite League's only unbeaten road team with an emphatic win in Coventry.
Vojtěch Polák put the Steelers up inside five minutes off Marc-Olivier Vallerand's feed as the Steelers broke 3-on-1. Luke Ferrara tied things up at 8:56 on the powerplay to set off hundreds of teddy bears being thrown on to the Skydome ice. After the brief stoppage to collect the toys, Tommaso Traversa hit his first Steelers goal at 1:37 to give the visitors their lead back.
Traversa pounced on a rebound from Eva Mosey's shot at 27:22 to put the Steelers 3-1 ahead, and when Daine Todd blasted home from the point on the powerplay five minutes later the Steelers were comfortably ahead. Martin Látal put the game out of reach 78 seconds into the final period.
Sheffield's win and results elsewhere extended their lead at the top of the table to six points.
