Following the Welsh Government's instruction for all sports to be played behind closed doors over the holiday period, the Cardiff Devils have issued the following statement from Managing Director Todd Kelman:

"The Cardiff Devils understand and acknowledge the instructions from the Welsh Government to play behind closed doors for the two home games over the holiday period (December 27th & January 1st). We also understand this requirement could be extended.

We are committed to fulfilling our home and away fixtures as per the original schedule. We will also seek the financial support promised by the Welsh Government for professional sports who are losing out on spectators over this period.

Me and the off-ice team will be working round the clock to keep our fans informed and updated as much as possible over the next few days.

I know that many fans will be looking to get in touch directly with the club right away, but I ask that you please give us the time we need to gather and communicate the correct information to you.

There is no need to contact us directly as we will be keeping you updated via the website, social media, and directly via email.

We will also be dedicating the next few days to ensuring we have all the information you need regarding your season tickets, match night tickets, corporate hospitality, and everything else impacted by the recent announcement.

As always, I will make sure we do the right thing, so please rest assured that you will be kept fully up-to-date and will receive all the information you need over the coming days.

I want to thank you all for always sticking with us. This is simply another obstacle to overcome, but the Devils are not going anywhere."
