Clan postpone upcoming home games pending Scottish government update
Clan awaiting details of compensation package before confirming further dates
Club statement form the Glasgow Clan regarding upcoming home fixtures in light of the Scottish Governments decision regarding spectator numbers:
"The Glasgow Clan have decided to postpone both of their home festive fixtures, Monday 27th December vs Belfast Giants and Friday 31st December vs Fife Flyers so that both of these highly anticipated fixtures can be played in front of fans once the three week period of restrictions has come to an end.
A decision on the status of our other home fixtures currently scheduled to be played behind closed doors will be made as soon as the compensation package from the Scottish Government has been agreed. In the meantime all of the Clan scheduled away games will be going ahead as per normal.
We know that the fans of the Clan, Belfast Giants and Fife Flyers who have made plans and travel commitments around attending these festive fixtures will be hugely disappointed at this news. These fixtures have become a wonderful tradition and it is with a heavy heart that restrictions have forced these postponements.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our fans. This year has been a real challenge and Clan have been able to overcome more than most due to the phenomenal support from the Purple Army and others around the sport.
We understand that people will have ticket enquiries, but we would kindly request these please wait until the Clan announce that we have received further guidance from the Scottish Government regarding the situation."
