Nottingham host Belfast this New Year's Bank Holiday looking for a quick turnaround in form at the start of 2022.

The Panthers ended 2021 with a home win against Manchester, but began the new year being shut out 4-0 away to the Storm to keep in sixth overall with a .500 record through 18 games. Director of Hockey Gui Doucet gave a frank interview about the team's progress ahead of those fixtures. Their powerplay at 15.38% is the equal seventh in overall, with the penalty kill slowly improved to just over 80%.
At home, the Panthers have collected just 12 points from 11 league games.
Belfast arriving in Nottingham on the league's longest winning streak of the season. The Giants have won seven straight in the league and have picked up 12 points from 20 on offer away from home. Adam Keefe's side have the league's third-best powerplay at 22.22%, with a kill of 81.54%.
The teams have contested two games so far this season - a 5-0 win for the Giants in Nottingham, followed up with a 7-2 victory in Belfast.
