The Panthers ran out 4-3 winners on the road at the Spectrum in Saturday night en route to their first four-point weekend since November. Guildford meanwhile earned an overtime point in Sheffield to end their slide of six straight losses without a point.

These sides placed fourth and fifth respectively after the group stage games, earning Guildford the option of having the second leg at home. In 2019/20, the Flames opted to picked to play the Panthers at the same stage but a 5-1 first leg defeat gave them an insurmountable aggregate difference to overturn at home.

Nottingham have won all three meetings between the sides this season, 4-3 and 5-2 at home with the road win added last week. Guildford last won at the Motorpoint arena on 25 January 2020.

As this is the first leg of an aggregate-scoring series, the final result at 60 minutes will carry over to the second leg. There will be no overtime or shootout tonight.
