Four games round off Week 18

Week 18 comes to an end with four games across Sunday.

1600 Nottingham Panthers vs. Glasgow Clan (Webcast)
Glasgow Clan head into Nottingham looking to extend their winning run to four games. 

A home win over Manchester yesterday put Malcolm's Cameron on to three in a row, something they'd not managed all season so far, and sends them on the road full of confidence.

Nottingham were beaten 4-2 in Sheffield on Saturday night but interim coach Mark Matheson took heart from the effort and compete level of his players. After stitching together a run of wins after their coaching chance, the Panthers have now lost three in a row on the road and return home looking to end that streak.

Dundee and Sheffield meet on Tayside after both teams picked up a win on Saturday night.

For the Stars, this is their second home game of the weekend and comes after a shutout victory against Coventry. Sheffield head north top of the table and with an exceptional record of having collected 85% of points on offer through 24 games. 

The Steelers have won nine games straight, and have two wins against the Stars in their meetings so far this season.

1730 Coventry Blaze vs. Fife Flyers (Webcast)
Ninth plays tenth at the Skydome when Coventry host Fife on Sunday evening.

The Blaze slipped outside of the playoff places when they were shut out in Dundee on Saturday night. Danny Stewart's team have two wins from five since leaving COVID-19 protocol.

Fife's woes got worse with a home defeat to Guildford on Saturday. The Flyers have find themselves five points adrift at the foot of the table, six outside the playoffs, and with a league-low of 27% of points collected. Fife have lost eight straight and only one of their past 14.

1800 Guildford Flames vs. Belfast Giants
Belfast travel to Guildford for their third road game of the week, looking to bounce back to winning ways.

After putting together a double-digit win streak., the Giants have now lost two in a row and slipped back to five points behind Sheffield in the title race having played a game more.

The Flames have two wins on the spin since ending their own losing run, and find themselves split four points behind fourth, but only three above falling into the playoff dogfight.
