Glasgow Clan extended their winning streak to four straight games with a well-earned road victory in Nottingham on Sunday afternoon.
Glasgow led after 20 minutes thanks to a powerplay goal. With Sean Richards serving bench minor for the Panthers have too many men on the ice, Mitch Jones crashed a slapshot home from the point to open the scoring with 16:46 played. The Panthers' best chance of the period fell to Edwin Hedberg, but a combination of Shane Starrett and Clan bodies stopped the puck from getting through.
In period two, Clan went two for two on the powerplay and doubled their lead at 33:59 - Colton Yellow Horn's shot being tipped in front by Nolan LaPorte to give the visitors a two-goal lead.
The Panthers put pressure on the Clan net in period three as they looked for a way back into the game. Starrett stopped 44 of the 45 shots he faced over the game, the only one getting by him coming as the hosts pressured 6-on-4 and Christophe Boivin bundled the puck over the line with 49 seconds to go.
Clan held on for the road win, their second in Nottingham this season.
