Giants complete Blaze double

Belfast completed a weekend double over Coventry with a three-goal victory over the Blaze on Sunday afternoon.
In a goalless opening period, CJ Motte was the Blaze's hero with a string of fine saves to keep the Giants at bay. The best of the bench was a glove saw to deny David Goodwin with his back to the play as the Giants' forward tried to slot home from the top of the crease - a real candidate for save of the season!
After the Blaze let in six the night before, this time the deadlock took over 30 minutes to be broken. When the goal came it was a bit fortunate bounce for Tyler Soy who picked up the rebound from Sam Ruopp's shot to slot under Motte at 32:20.
JJ Piccinich beat Motte five-hole to double the Giants' lead with a fast breakout from their own zone at 47:'28, while Ben Lake found the empty net with 1:39 to play to seal the win. Tyler Beskorowany stopped 2 shots for his fifth league shutout of the season.
