With January behind us, it's time to choose our Player of the Month for the first part of 2022. We've shortlisted four players for you to choose form, and your votes will decide the winner. Here's who we've chosen, and why:

Sebastian Bengtsson - the Dundee Stars' Swedish forward ended January with nine points from eight games. He scored a goal in four of the Stars' wins during the month to take him on to 26 points in 33 league games this season.   

Mac Carruth - the Cardiff Devils' goalie logged six wins from seven games over January. In all except two of his games, he stopped over 97% of shots, and was at least 92% for the month. Carruth faced an average of 37 shots in those seven games, and ended January with 96.17% of shots stopped.

Mark Cooper - the Giants' Canadian forward had an exceptional month in January. In 10 games, he scored five goals and assisted on 10 others for 15 points overall and ended +6. The 29-year-old hit a hat trick in the 6-1 thrashing of Coventry to move to 31 points in 28 league games thus far.

Evan Mosey - the Team GB international notched nine points over eight January games for the Steelers, including four goals and was +4 over those matches. A utility player who can ice as a forward or on defense, Mosey, 26 points in 28 league games for the Steelers so far this season, and is a league-high +24.
