Tonight: Storm and Blaze looking for advantage in playoff race

Manchester Storm host Coventry Blaze at the Storm Shelter with both teams very much locked in the battle for the playoff places.

Storm sit two points above the Blaze in seventh but have played some five games more. With 19 points collected on their own ice form a possible 28, the Storm have one of the better home records in the Premier Sports Elite League, and got back to winning ways at the Shelter with last week's thrashing of Glasgow. Prior to that, the Storm had suffered two straight home defeats.

Coventry beat Guildford in a shootout last Friday before falling to two defeats in Belfast by a combined 9-1 scoreline. The Blaze have lost their last three on the road since winning 4-3 in Guildford in overtime, and have picked up 10 points from 12 road games this season.

In two meetings between the teams the season, each side has a home win to their name - Storm won the mid-November meting 5-2, while the Blaze took an 8-3 victory last month.
