Tonight: Giants aiming for Devils double

If the Belfast Giants can make it two out of two against Cardiff in this weekend's double-header, they'll end tonight above the Devils on points and arguably be the best-placed team to try and knock Sheffield off top spot over the next three months.

The Giants got part one done on Friday night with a 5-3 win in which they raced into a 4-0 lead inside 12 minutes, but survived a fightback from their Welsh opponents before sealing the win with an empty-net goal.

Cardiff haven't lost back-to-back games since early December when they dropped three straight. Having beaten the Giants three times at home, they head into tonight's game trying to avoid being swept 3-0 at the SSE Arena this season.
