Tonight: Blaze aiming for third straight win with visit of Giants

Coventry Blaze will skate out on their own ice tonight hoping to make it three wins on the spin for the first time this season,

The Blaze have won two in a roe three times but not yet managed that third win in a row. Jordan Hedley is likely to start in net again with CJ Motte in COVID-19 protocol - he backstopped his side to both wins over Manchester last weekend. At home, the Blaze have won three in a row (the last two in shootouts) and have come out victorious in four of their last five.

Belfast's shootout defeat to Cardiff ended a run of four straight wins for the Giants, but they have an impressive record of only three losses in their last 18 games. They were beaten 3-2 on their last trip to Coventry in the cup, but have another 5-3 win there from earlier in the season. The Giants also won the two meetings in Belfast by a combined score of 9-1.

The Blaze could go into fifth victory tonight, while Belfast could end the night second if they win and Cardiff fail to pick up any points.
