Tonight: Flames make first trip to Coventry
Challenge Cup action from 19:30
Day two of our five-day hockey week continues with Challenge Cup action this evening at the Skydome in Coventry. The Blaze host Guildford in Group B.
Hosts Coventry are playing their sixth game of eight in the group tonight, with only a trip to Cardiff and home game against Guildford left thereafter. They trail the Flames by a point but have played one more game, so for Danny Stewart's side it is crucial that they pick up home points. Indeed, they've not lost at home in the Challenge Cup yet this season with two wins over Cardiff their only victories in the group so far.
Guildford still have half of their games to play, and face a back-to-back series with the Devils this weekend. A win in Coventry would really put pressure on the Blaze in their final games, and also see the Flames go top of the group heading into those meetings with Cardiff.
Coventry have been on excellent form of late, winning three straight road games, and four of their last five in all competitions. Guildford were three unbeaten until a home loss to Fife, but have victories in four of their last six.
Face-off at the Skydome is 19:30.
