Sheffield Steelers have added Austrian forward Nico Feldner to their roster on loan for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.
The 23-year-old played 44 years for Innsbruck in the ICE Hockey League this season before they were eliminated in the regular season last week.
"Nico is a big bodied forward who had a breakout year in Austria this year. At 23 years old, he played big minutes and contributed on their xpowerplay and finished the year with 24 points in 44 games. He’s looking forward to extending his season and come in to help us achieve our goals" said Head Coach Aaron Fox.“
"He can play centre or wing, and should give us some added size. "I Wanted to Thank my close friend in Innsbruck Sport Manager Max Steinacher, and their GM Gunther Hanschitz for helping us out here with this deal”.
Sheffield have added a player to their injured reserve list but will communicate this on Wednesday.
