The Giants will also be home tomorrow night before travelling to Guildford on Sunday. For the Flames, these games mark their first trip of the season to Belfast.
It's a big night for the Giants. After Sheffield's midweek slip-up in Fife, Adam Keefe's men could end the day joint-top of the table, albeit having played a game more. The Giants are now only two points behind the Steelers on level games. They're on a seven-game winning run, and have not lost in regulation in their last 14 matches. Scott Conway leads the league with 57 points in 38 games, while netminders Tyler Beskorowany and Jackson Whistle have both stopped over 93% of the shots they've faced this season.
Guildford have the chance to move back up to fifth in the table tonight if they can pick up at least a point, but need to be mindful of what could happen if they have both a good or a bad weekend. The Flames are only six points off fourth with two games in hand, but conversely only three points ahead of eighth having played two games more. With 17 games to go before this weekend's fixtures, the next three could go a long way to deciding which race the Flames find themselves in down the stretch.
Belfast have won both meetings between the sides this season, although they were both played in Guildford. The sides haven't met in Belfast since the Flames took a shootout win on 20 February 2020.
