Tonight: Neither Storm nor Flyers with any room for error

If either Manchester Storm or Fife Flyers want to make the post-season, it's more than likely that they'll have to come out with four points from this weekend's home and home series between the teams.

Both currently sit outside the playoff places, although the Flyers have been in better form recently despite being further adrift. Manchester trail the playoffs by five points with 14 left to play including tonight, while the Flyers are a further three back on the same number of games. They meet again on Sunday night in Kirkcaldy.
Storm had an excellent home win over Nottingham a week ago, but defeat in the reverse matchup on Sunday, having been ahead, put their post-season hopes in jeapordy - especially with results elsewhere.
Fife picked up an excellent midweek win over Sheffield 10 days ago and then equalised late before beating Coventry in a shootout to pick up four of six points last week.
Each team had a home win each when the sides met in 2021 before Storm came back with a big win in Fife a fortnight before Christmas.
