Tonight: Blaze and Flames renew rivalry

Games between the Coventry Blaze and Guildford Flames at the Skydome this season have never failed to deliver drama, and tonight the teams go again for the fourth of their six league meetings.

Guildford have had the measure of Coventry in the games so far this season with three wins out of four in all competitions - and in the loss, they picked up a point before going down in a shootout.

That said, the teams' fortunes have taken different paths in the past few months. Coventry, who thrashed Glasgow midweek, have won their last three home games and climbed up to fifth in the table - and are one of three teams that can go level with, or ahead of, Nottingham who currently sit in fourth.

The Flames' recent form has seen them drop from a position in the top six to now looking over their shoulder at the playoff trapdoor. Paul Dixon's team do have a five-point advantage over Manchester chasing below, but they'll need to end their four-game losing streak to ensure it doesn't get any tighter.
