Cardiff Devils came out with a win in their only match of the weekend, handing Coventry Blaze their second defeat in as many nights with a shutout victory at Ice Arena Wales.
Josh Waller broke the deadlock 11:50 into period one after he was sent through 1-on-0 with CJ Motte from a Stephen Dixon stretch pass, and the British forward finished nicely to put the Devils ahead.
Good work from Justin Crandall kept the puck alive for the Devils in the attack zone, and eventually set up Brodie Reid for the reverse wrap-around on CJ Motte to double the home side's lead at 34:03.
Trevor Cox scored the game's final goal 2:02 into period three, as Mac Carruth held on for a 32-shot shutout, his sixth of the season.
